I turned 27 a couple of weeks ago and with it came the glaring realisation that I’m in my late-twenties. I’m no longer a mid-twenties gal and instead am closer to 30. Sigh.

Whilst I definitely don’t think life ends at 30, or people should stop chasing their dreams then, there are some things I want to achieve before I turn 30. I think of 30 as more of a milestone, something to work towards rather than a time when life has to change.

As a travel blogger, it’s only natural that many of the things on my list are travel related. There are still so many places I want to see and experiences I want to have. Not everything is travel-related though. There are also personal and business things I want to do before 30.

I’m sure some of you will be familiar with the concept of a 30 before 30 challenge. Essentially, a list of 30 things to do before turning 30 years old. This is my version…

  1. Go to The Maldives (and stay in a gorgeous overwater bungalow)
  2. Go glamping somewhere fabulous
  3. Go up in a hot air balloon
  4. See a football game at the Camp Nou in Barcelona
  5. Buy a new car
  6. Finish learning to ski
  7. Go on a ski holiday
  8. Return to Asia
  9. Sleep under the stars
  10. Visit 40 countries (I’m currently at 38!)
  11. Host an epic summer BBQ for all our friends and family in our new home
  12. Double my earnings
  13. Take an amazing cookery course (DONE 2/6/17)
  14. Take (another) luxury cruise
  15. Attend Up Helly Aa in Shetland
  16. Take a helicopter ride somewhere (preferably in Dubai)
  17. Go to the Edinburgh Royal Military Tattoo
  18. Take a seaplane ride at Loch Lomond
  19. Fly business class again
  20. Triple my pension contribution
  21. Grow vegetables in my garden
  22. Go snorkeling again somewhere amazing (I can’t scuba dive due to ear problems)
  23. Go to a jazz night/festival
  24. Drive the North Coast 500, Scotland
  25. Hire a campervan for at least a few days

What do you think of my list of things to do before 30? Do you have a similar list?
