Summer holiday packing can be tricky sometimes. How many pairs of shoes will I need? How many swimsuits? Is it going to be cool at night and, if so, what will I wear? Is three handbags an unacceptable number to take away for a week? So many questions!

I’m also not a fan of skimpy summer dressing. You’re not going to see me cutting around in hotpants and a crop top anytime soon. I like floaty materials that keep me cool, and showing off a bit of leg, but definitely not showing everything. That means it can be a little tricky to find and pick outfits.

I love a good planning session of what I’m going to pack for my summer holiday (or any trip for that matter!). I like to look at what clothes I have that are suitable and then plan out what I need to buy to supplement it.

The pieces above would all work really well with the clothes I already have. There are some cool separates that will work with tops and bottoms in my wardrobe. That means I can mix and match tops and bottoms to create lots of different outfit combinations, without having to pack dozens of different things. Perfect if I’m travelling hand luggage only.

Do you love or loathe summer holiday packing?
