What happened in December?

I know it’s incredibly cliche, but I can hardly believe we’re into 2017 already! December seemed to pass by in a complete whirlwind and I barely had time to catch my breath!

Thomas and I hosted our first Christmas Day in our brand new house and it was…hectic. Being the hostess is damn hard work but we managed to pull it off and everyone had a great day. I could have slept for a week after it though!

We also had loads of houseguests during the month, which was really fun. We had Thomas’ parents staying with us twice, hosted almost Thomas’ entire (large!) family for lunch one day, had friends stay over and Thomas’ sister stayed a couple of times too. I’ve never changed bed sheets so much before in my life.

We also hosted a party for Hogmanay (the Scottish word for New Years Eve) that was really good. Plenty of drinks, nibbles, laughter and good company to see in the bells.

There were loads of festive drinks and catch ups too, including afternoon tea at the Blythswood Hotel in Glasgow, a lovely weekend in Edinburgh and much more. It was a really busy but amazing month!

What I read in December…

I was finishing off my 52 books challenge this month, but actually didn’t have much to read to complete the challenge. Click over to my post to read the whole thing.

New Posts for December…

There were fewer posts than normal in December due to all the festive fun! Here are the ones I did publish:

What’s Happening in January…

Hopefully January is going to be a quieter one than December!

I do have a lovely spa day planned at 5 star Mar Hall Hotel and a few other things here and there. I’ve also got quite a bit of work to get done, as I have big plans for my business in 2017.

And that’s it for another month! As always, thank you for taking the time to check into my blog and read about all my adventures and musings. If you’re not already then please follow along on Twitter and Facebook to stay even more up to date.
