It might only be the beginning of November, but Christmas will be here before we know it. This year has already gone past so quickly! I can’t quite believe it’s already time to start thinking about Christmas present ideas.

So, if you’re looking for Christmas present ideas for travel lovers, I’ve got you covered.

A flight/trip

I’ve written before about why I believe experiences are better than things and there’s no better gift than the gift of travel.

So, instead of buying perfumes/aftershaves/gift sets and other random products that people may not even like or want, why not consider booking a flight or trip for your loved one? It doesn’t have to be a super expensive trip or even a trip abroad. Sometimes just gifting a hotel voucher for a nearby city is enough. Travel doesn’t always have to be to somewhere thousands of miles away – it can be just as rewarding to spend a long weekend in a place that’s an hour or so away from home.

The act of just getting away from home, spending time in somewhere different, seeing new things and having new experiences is enough.

People are usually much more grateful for things like this than the 3 for 2 giftset you hastily picked up in Boots at the last minute!

Cash

Money can be a really great gift if you’re not confident enough about buying a flight/booking a trip or gifting a voucher for travel. Simply give a cash gift and say that you’d love if the cash went towards a holiday or trip somewhere. Most people are respectful and grateful and so will probably put the money towards travel, rather than frittering it away on their weekly shop or Friday night cocktails.

Luggage tag

If you’re giving someone a gift but don’t want to spend a lot of cash, a gorgeous luggage tag for their suitcase can be a great idea. I love these cute Katie Loxton ones that come in a variety of colours and shapes.

Passport holder

A chic and stylish passport holder can be another superb gift if you don’t want to spend too much money. I love this one, this one and this one

Luxury miniatures

Most of the time when I’m travelling I use hand luggage only, so miniature toiletries are a necessity. Many people are the same when travelling, so a set of luxury miniatures would be a really fantastic present. Most big brands produce their own travel friendly sized products, so find something you thing they’ll love and go for it.

Scratch-off world map

A scratch-off world map is another amazing christmas present idea for the travel lover in your life. These maps allow you to scratch off the places you’ve been to, and fill up more and more of the map as you discover new places. A seriously fun way to log all of your adventures across the world!
