It’s now just over a week until I head off to Bulgaria on my first ever ski holiday! I’m totally excited and am getting everything organised for the trip.

One thing I always make sure to take on holiday with me is my trusty Kindle. I’m a total bookworm and love to get lost in a book at any time. Reading is the perfect way to pass a long journey and I can happily read for hours on end.

Our flight to Bulgaria is 3 hours and 40 minutes long, then we have a 2 and a half hour transfer to the ski resort. That means I’ll need to stock up on plenty of books, as I’ll likely spend the majority of that time reading. That’s over 6 hours of prime reading time! I’m using the trip as a great opportunity to get caught up on the books that are on my Kindle wish list.

Here are the novels I’m downloading to read on my trip…

Small Great Things by Jodi Picoult

I’ve read a couple of Jodi Picoult novels in the past and have enjoyed them, so I’m looking forward to getting into this. It’s been recommended to me by several people and I’ve seen rave reviews online. Let’s hope it’s as good as the hype!

Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine by Gail Honeyman

About 5 people have recommended this to me in the last year or so and I don’t know why I’ve waited so long to read it. This trip is turning into the perfect opportunity to read books that have been on my list for ages.

The Bright Hour by Nina Riggs

I’ve heard this novel is a bit of a tearjerker, so perhaps I should save this one for the comfort of my hotel room? I don’t really want to start reading it on the plane and turn into a weeping mess.

Exit West by Moshin Hamid

I adored Hamid’s novel The Reluctant Fundamentalist, so I’m looking forward to this. It was shortlisted for the Man Booker prize in 2017 and was one of Barak Obama’s top 10 books for 2017. If it’s good enough for Obama, it’s good enough for me!

Little Fires Everywhere by Celeste Ng

So many people have been raving about this New York Times Top Ten Bestseller. I can’t wait to see for myself what the fuss is about.

Can you recommend me any more books to read on holiday?
