Shopping in Melbourne

While I was in Melbourne, I visited the Queen Victoria Market- a sprawling, busy, open-air market, selling everything from delicious fresh produce to clothes and handbags. Open everyday except Monday and Wednesday, the market attracts visitors and locals alike, all of whom are keen to find good quality products at great prices. The markets themselves sold so much amazing food that, if I hadn’t been getting on a plane back to Perth that evening, I would definitely have bought loads. I …

Sydney’s Best Bars

Posted on by Emma Gray in Australia | 8 Comments

After weeks of studying hard for my finals at University, I arrived in Sydney in definite need of a stiff drink, or ten. I came across some great bars in Sydney during my trip and here’s a selection of my favourites. Hotel CBD Bar This bar is in York Street, a little off the main tourist bar area, and as such it’s much quieter and more relaxed. The chic, minimalist interior with high ceilings and quirky design features gives the bar a refined …

I’ll be flying from Glasgow to Perth, on the West coast, to visit my …

LE VOYAGE A NANTES & ESTUAIRE

Posted on by Emma Gray in France | 1 Comment

I have a confession. Last week I fell absolutely head over heels in love with the sixth largest city in France; Nantes. (Just please don’t tell the south of France!) One of the main reasons for this outpouring of love for Nantes is the incredible amount of contemporary art projects taking place within the city. Art is everywhere. Why? Well, although Nantes has some stunning traditional architecture such as the Château des ducs de Bretagne, the Passage Pommeraye shopping arcade, imposing …
