Reading 52 books in a year isn’t something that is difficult for me and there hasn’t been a year where I’ve found it to be tiresome or a chore. Undertaking a challenge like this ensures I set aside time to disconnect from the world and read. It’s all too easy to sit in front of the TV, scroll mindlessly through social media or work longer on my laptop, rather than picking up a book and getting lost in a story. A challenge encourages me to make sure I do spend time reading and don’t get caught up with other distractions.

For 2018 I’ve decided that instead of reading 52 books, I want to read 60. SIXTY books! It sounds like a lot, but I know I’ll be able to do it. It equates to reading one book every six days.

Wish me luck!

Have you done the 52 books challenge before? Would you consider it? Do you have any book recommendations for me?
